Had lunch here today. Poached eggs (done to perfection) on smashed avocado on sourdough. Friendly staff, prompt service, and freshly cooked. I will definitely return next time I’m in Carlisle.

We popped into Tullie Café during our sightseeing day in Carlisle, and it was such a lovely break! Bright, cheerful teapots instantly lifted our spirits – the tea was hot, the service friendly, and the whole place had a cosy, welcoming vibe. My husband went classic with a jacket potato and beans – simple, satisfying, and paired with a surprisingly good salad. I had the coronation chicken open sandwich, and honestly? I'd join its fan club – full of flavour and nicely balanced. It’s the perfect pit stop if you’re exploring Carlisle – great tea, colourful crockery, and food that hits the spot! Refueled, recharged, and ready for more castles!

A perfect breakfast bap with bacon and sausage well done as requested. Egg was semi runny as it should be. Avocado and egg on toast was delightful. Lovely presentation and so tasty with pumpkin seeds and chilli flakes. Looking forward to trying the tapas deal - 4 plates for £25. Great atmosphere and attentive and helpful service.
